Engineering Works

• Fire Fighting and Detection System Mechanical scope encompasses erection of fire water piping network (hydrant mains, wet risers, deluge systems, sprinklers), installation of fire pumps (jockey, main, diesel engine-driven), foam systems, fire water storage tanks, valves (deluge, pressure-reducing), and associated supports/anchors. It includes hydro-testing, flushing, alignment, and integration with detection (smoke/heat detectors are electrical, but piping/mechanical erection is key for reliable delivery).

• Sea Water Piping Network This includes supply, fabrication, erection, welding, hydro-testing, and commissioning of large-diameter sea water intake and discharge piping (CS/MS/SS or lined pipes), pumps (intake pumps, cooling water pumps), strainers, valves, expansion joints, supports, and civil foundations. Works cover routing from sea water intake structure through forebay, screening, and distribution to condenser cooling water system, with focus on corrosion resistance, pressure testing, and alignment to prevent leaks/vibrations.

• HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Supply, erection, and commissioning of HVAC ducting (GI/pre-insulated), air handling units (AHUs), chillers, cooling towers, pumps (chilled water, condenser water), fans, dampers, diffusers, insulation, and controls integration. Works include fabrication of duct supports, alignment of equipment, vibration isolation, and performance testing for plant buildings, control rooms, switchgear rooms, and other enclosed areas to maintain temperature/humidity.

• Cranes & Hoists Erection, alignment, testing, and commissioning of overhead travelling cranes (EOT), gantry cranes, monorail hoists, jib cranes, and maintenance hoists in turbine hall, boiler area, and workshops. Scope covers structural supports, rails, end carriages, wire ropes, hooks, brakes, limit switches, and load testing to ensure safe lifting of heavy equipment (turbines, generators, transformers).

• DE and DS System (Dust Extraction and Dust Suppression System)** Mechanical works include erection of dust extraction ducts, bag filters/hoppers, ID fans, screw conveyors, rotary airlock valves, and dust suppression piping (nozzles, pumps, tanks for water/mist systems). This covers installation at coal handling areas, crushers, transfer points, and silos to control fugitive dust emissions.

• Miscellaneous Pumps and Sump Pumps Supply, erection, alignment, and commissioning of various centrifugal/submersible pumps (service water, raw water, sump, dewatering, drain pumps), including base frames, couplings, motors, strainers, valves, and piping connections. Works include foundation casting, grouting, vibration isolation, and performance trials.

• Drinking Water Distribution Works Erection of potable water piping network (GI/HDPE/SS), overhead/underground tanks, RO/DM plants integration, pumps (booster), valves, fittings, and distribution to plant facilities, offices, and colonies. Includes hydro-testing, disinfection, and commissioning to ensure safe drinking water supply.
